Heat loss from house

You'd be forgiven for thinking that climate change means we'll have to sacrifice our creature comforts. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Mark Lynas

What can we do to make a difference?

Despite climate change being a global problem, we can all do our bit to help. Individually, we can each do more to reduce our use of energy. We can also work together to share ideas and take action.

Our programme of activities is designed to meet our objectives of helping people learn how they can reduce their carbon emissions, and take part in projects which do that.  It is funded by grants, and through fund-raising in our community.  People also give their time, which makes a big difference.    We have ambitious plans, but they can only be realised if we all work together

BCA projects are grouped into four main areas: Energy; Food; Waste and Transport, because most emissions come from activities in those areas.   Click on the links below to find out more about each of them.
