Highlights of BCA's
year include:

-
The group has reached agreement with the National Trust to create a community fruit and vegetable garden at Parke on the edge of the town
-
A community car club will begin in Bovey shortly operated by Moorcar, who already operate cars in Ashburton and Chagford.
-
The group has worked with the Town Mayor to turn Bovey Tracey into a plastic bag free zone
In the coming year, the group
will focus on lobbying government and business for change with the launch
of a 350 campaign.
Cathy King, chair of
BCA said afterwards, "Climate change has now gone mainstream. It is heartening
to see what Bovey Climate Action started has now been embraced by the whole
community. We are taking the lead in reducing carbon in our community with a lot
of simple things that make a big difference."
