Sparkworld sponsors The BIG Switch

Sparkworld

Marion Crausaz of Sparkworld presenting BCA's Cathy King with £100 in energy efficient vouchers.

Thanks to sponsorship from Sparkworld, four households that have made The BIG Switch to one of Ecotricity's green tariffs by January 2009 will receive extra energy saving help. This will come in the form of a £100 voucher off energy efficient appliances; a saverplug; and two sets of low energy lightbulbs.

The BIG Switch has already generated £500 in referral fees from Ecotricity, which Bovey Climate Action will be using to fund energy saving measures in community buildings. Each household that switches adds another £15.

By changing to a green electricity supply, Bovey Climate Action’s BIG Switch gives residents an instant way to reduce their carbon footprint. Many Bovey and Heathfield residents have already switched to the green energy scheme. One of the first to switch last year was Bovey Tracey town council who estimated that they would save £160 as a result.

Everybody wins.  Every local resident who switches gets cleaner, greener electricity – and the chance to win a prize; the community gets a solar panel perhaps; and we all benefit from less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

To make The BIG Switch, either ring Ecotricity direct on freephone number 0800 0326 100 – and quote BCA1 (BCA2 for businesses) to trigger the referral – or switch here on our website.
