Bovey Climate Action opened the first Climate Cafe at the Youth Cafe, Fore Street, Bovey Tracey on Saturday 10th May.

The group offered advice on saving energy at home over coffee and home-made
cake. On
hand was expert advice on the latest grants for loft and cavity
wall insulation, lighting and renewable sources of energy. Attending will be advisors from
Devon Energy Efficiency Advice Centre; EDF Energy and local experts on lighting
and solar water heating systems.
The high cost of energy and concerns about climate change are making householders look around for ways to reduce consumption. For the first time in Bovey, we've created an informal meeting space for people get answers from the experts to the questions they have.
