Bovey Climate Action is runner-up in the 2008 Carbon Positive Communities Award developed by South West of England Regional Development Agency. The purpose of the awards is to celebrate the postive contribution organisations in the South West are making to reduce their carbon footprint. According to the panel of judges, all the finalists are leading the way in climate care.
Members of BCA attended the award ceremony at the Prince of Wales's May Day Business Summit on Climate Change on 1st May at the Met Office.
"We are very proud to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. It is an important recognition of the value of the work we do to reduce carbon in our local community," said Cathy King.
