About Bovey Climate Action

Bovey Climate Action is made up of a group of volunteers who live in and around Bovey. Each one of us is devoting some spare time to the group because we believe that climate change is the biggest challenge facing the planet. Instead of waiting for governments and councils to act, we are making a start right now to reduce carbon emissions in our local community. We have a growing membership of more than 200 local people who have signed up with us to make a difference.

Our focus is on 'action' - on getting things done - on the practical not the theoretical. We're raising awareness of the issues through the website and our bi-monthly newsletter, and we're encouraging Bovey residents to cut carbon by joining our WasteWatchers scheme and switching to green electricity.
